There is no existing film footage of Mata Hari performing her infamous dance, so actress/dancer Florence Rapati choreographed her own interpretation of the dance based on eye witness descriptions. Frank van Wanrooij, imagining the music Mata Hari may have danced to, composed an evocative piece drawing on the musical traditions of Indonesia. Irene Klomp designed the dance costume spending over 1,000 hours painstakingly creating the intricate metal bra that was the signature of Mata Hari.
Florence is delighted to be coming to Santa Fe, it is her first trip to the United States. Director/Producer Machiel Amorison is also coming from Amsterdam and traveling from San Francisco are Director/Producer Susan Wolf and Editors, Bob Sarles and Christina Keating.
